"Can't Sleep, So I'll Make A" Post

Added some new songs on my playlist:
  • Florence and the Machine - No Light, No Light
  • Ludovico Einaudi - Divenire (you've probably heard this one in the Mother's Day P&G Olympic 2012 Commercial)
  • Sarah Brightman - Fleurs Du Mal (Immaculate voice for symphonic metal)
  • Simple Plan - Take My Hand
  • Infected Mushroom - Becoming Insane
  • Lady Antebellum - Just A Kiss
  1. Friday night was so-so. There's a new Pump it Up Machine in the movie theater at Arundel Mills. It's newer than what they have at Dave and Busters (DnB)... it's the latest arcade cabinet for the machine and it only costs $.25 cents. I feel bad for the one at DnB. If it doesn't make as much money, they'll have to shelf or sell it. Better upgrade to the latest machine and version. I played about half and half. Plus I wanted to see my friend who works at DnB.

Summer Vacation 2012 - Part V

Starting off where I left off roughly 4 months ago with part 4, we just ended our cruise. We got on a shuttle bus that took us to Vancouver. It wasn't a bad drive. It went by pretty fast. My cousin recently moved to Vancouver with her son and her boyfriend. We planned the meet up along with our cruise vacation plan. It just so happens that our cruise ended on July 1st... Canada Day.

Many people proudly displayed the maple leaf... as well as the "leaf." There was a whole section of a government building full of tents supporting medical Marijuana.

Canada Day... also Cannabis Day.

Summer Vacation 2012 - Part IV

Starting off where I left off with part 3, we already left the Glacier Bay National Park. Our cruise arrived early in the morning at Ketchikan, Alaska (6:00AM Alaskan Time). The cruise is only docking until 2:00PM in the afternoon, so my parents and siblings woke up pretty early to go around shopping in Downtown Ketchikan. I woke up around 9 to get some shopping done before our tour.

Here's a photo that I took of our cruise ship before roaming around downtown Ketchikan.

Summer Vacation 2012 - Part III

Starting off where I left off with part 2, I woke up around 9:00AM Alaskan Time. This is day 3 of the cruise. Our ship has slowed down considerably on the way to the port of Juneau, Alaska. My parents and siblings already went ahead to the gym before. I caught up with them and did about an hour of jogging and lifting weights. I didn't over do it because I was still sore from the previous day's exercise, jogging and rock climbing. The ship docked at around 2:00PM Alaskan Time.

Did Juneau that it's the capital of Alaska and the largest city in the US?

Summer Vacation 2012 - Part II

Following where I left off on the Sunday exploring Pike Place Market and the Pride Parade, we booked a van to take us to the pier. Originally, we were taking a cab to get there, but the parade blocked access for cars. Renting a van from the hotel proved to be better with all the luggage we were carrying. We checked in at around 2PM.

This ship is huge. Their main atrium is just below two restaurants: a 24/7 cafe for those who want to eat at anytime and an all you can eat meat on skewers restaurant.

Summer Vacation 2012 - Part I

Finally found time to make this post. So I was on in the west coast for almost two weeks for the 7-day cruise to Alaska Between June 23rd to July 3rd. We had about 2 days of layover before our ship departed on Sunday. We took the Norwegian Pearl cruise ship to Alaska (Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park, Ketchikan) and Victoria BC, Canada. After the cruise, we took the bus from Seattle to Vancouver, Canada to meet my cousin and her family.

This is the first two days of my summer vacation. You can read my detailed story and the video I created, summing up the little time I had exploring Seattle.

Summer Vacation 2012 Preview

Didn't want it to end.
It's been a wonderful vacation. I'm writing this on the train ride back to Seattle airport from Vancouver, recounting where I've been and what I've done.

There's still so much of Seattle that I wanted to explore:
- Chihuly Glass and Garden
- Space Needle
- Pike's Market
- 1st Starbucks
- Brunch at the Athenian
- The gay pride parade

The 7-day cruise to Alaska (Juneau, Skagway & Ketchikan) and Victoria BC was a wonderful experience:

Diary of a Returning Gamer #8

I was sure that I would retire these things when I wrote the last one in October last year. But I was in another job transition and found myself in this oh so wonderful job right now (I'm just gushing with enthusiasm). In summation, I was off the gaming grid. I neglected my PS3 and Nintendo DS games, shoved in the corner of my previously untidy bookshelf, collecting soot and dust. Not anymore. I'm a returning gamer, again.

Another Offer

So my bosses sat me down again on Friday. They wanted to know where I am in my job search. They relayed our agreement from last week that I would be under the consulting contract and to give them two-weeks notice when I'm leaving. They agreed, but they really want to keep me and increased their previous offer. On top of that, medical benefits, two-week vacation leave, 1 week sick leave and if it gets approved, they can increase my salary some more.

Take Care of Yourself

I'm sorry for the state of how we've become. There's no real way of knowing how you've been without asking. Because of our history, for both our sake, I won't... even if I want to. We made mistakes. I made mistakes. I don't expect your forgiveness. The hurt we both caused is patched up on my side. It still lingers, but it doesn't bother me. What's past is past. I understand why you did what you did. Whether I forgave you or not isn't your problem. What matters is if you forgave yourself. I really hope you are doing fine. I read that you were leaving. In a way, you are already thousands of miles away, but you will be leaving soon. Wherever you are, take care of yourself.

I'm done.

Peeta and Katniss

So I watched the Hunger Games earlier. I definitely enjoyed the movie. I'm going to start reading the books before the next movie comes out. Being a movie, they can't cram all the interactions and other materials in the book. There's so much more that I need to know. Character background, the setting, etc.
