Crossing BOTH MAPS w/o TOUCHING the Ground! The Floor is Lava Challenge (Assassin's Creed Unity)

Is it possible to cross both Versailles and Paris maps in Assassin's Creed Unity without touching the ground? In this video, I'll do the "Floor is Lava" challenge, previously attempted on the New York map in Assassin's Creed Rogue on PS3 (I made it three-quarters of the way through).

I start from the farthest "non-ground" surface on one side of the map and climb/hop/scale walls, trees, roofs, and other above ground objects towards the opposite side without touching the main ground. Below are interesting sections in the playthrough:

00:17 - Explanation of the challenge
01:22 - Start of Versailles section
04:48 - Close Call #1
05:23 - ???
06:40 - Close Call #2
07:11 - Almost at the other side of the map

07:35 - Next up, Paris!
08:57 - Start of Paris section
11:00 - YOLO Jump, Close Call #3
16:30 - ????
17:10 - Co-op dude says 'Hi'
20:30 - Heading to row houses on top of bridge
21:28 - ?????
23:55 - Two-thirds of the way across Paris map
24:22 - Close Call #4
26:41 - Rant about how beautiful this game is
30:00 - Home stretch
32:23 - Scaring bullies
34:30 - Random cat

Duck Walking Through Assassin's Creed Unity (Time Lapse)

The streaming quality was so-so in my previous video. Whenever I have too much movement going on, the screen starts tearing and pixelating. Unless I'm directly connected to the Internet, my stream quality will be a downgrade. I managed to get my Live Gamer Portable working on PS4. I can get 1080P HD resolution. Only problem is it can't get to 60FPS at 1080P. Good thing is AC Unity maxes out at 30FPS on consoles, I believe.

So this is a first for my channel and for this series: Duck Walking.

In previous AC games (AC3, AC4, and AC Rogue), crouching is contextual. There is no dedicated crouch button. Your character automatically crouches when you're near a hiding spot like tall grass, plants, and when you're stalking a target. AC Unity introduced a crouch button. This means you could crouch walk throughout the entire game as long as you're not running. This is me duck walking through the main game maps (Versailles and Paris) to see how long it takes cross.

Strolling Through Assassin's Creed Unity (Time Lapse)

I haven't played the rest of the Assassin's Creed franchise in the current gen consoles. I'm working my way up from Unity to Odyssey right now. Of all the stories I've played so far, Unity's is the most tragic.

It's been a while since my last Assassin's Creed videos. I decided to try and record walking through the main game maps (Versailles and Paris) live with PS4.

DORBZ - Assassin's Creed Unboxing

I got these heavily discounted Assassin's Creed DORBZ figures. Usually you'd find one or two discounted figures from the same set. This is the first time I got the entire set in the discount aisle.

DORBZ
080 - Altair (Assassin's Creed)
081 - Arno Dorian (Assassin's Creed: Unity)
082 - Élise de la Serre (Assassin's Creed: Unity)
083 - Ezio (Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Revelations)
084 - Edward (Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag)
085 - Jacob (Assassin's Creed: Syndicate)

It's a bit of a let down that they didn't have Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor) from Assassin's Creed 3. They have Elise from Unity, who isn't even a playable character. That is a weird choice for this set. They could have used Evie Frye, Jacob's twin sister, from Syndicate.

Riding Around Assassin's Creed II

Assassin's Creed II is the 1st chapter in the Ezio trilogy showcasing Florence, Tuscany, Forli, and Venice Italy.

In the first game, you could only ride your horse outside cities. The same thing applies for ACII, but certain locations have surrounding land that lets your ride around the entire map (Appennine Mountains, Villa Monteriggioni, Tuscany, and Forli).

I'm only covering those locations.

Riding Time

Apennine Mountains......... 05min16sec

Strolling Through Assassin's Creed II

Assassin's Creed II is the 1st chapter in the Ezio trilogy showcasing Florence, Tuscany, Forli, and Venice Italy.

I still think this is the best story and Ezio is the most well-written character in all of the Assassin's Creed franchise. Lots of background information to delve into this game as well as the conspiracies that happened throughout the altered version of real world history.

Traversing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the 2nd chapter in the Ezio trilogy showcasing Rome.

Sailing Around the Caribbean // Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

The idea is to sail around the Wild West Indies seas without desynchronizing on the border. I sailed around counter clockwise starting from The Great Inagua Hideout. I lost my bearings on the bottom right corner of the map and about north of The Great Inagua Hideout. I tinkered with my counter around those points, so you'll see the timer counting down, and up, paused , and down again to be as close as possible to actual travel time.

I turned on several Abstergo cheats for smooth sailing (no waves) and calm weather. That didn't help much. There were still waves and rain.

Sailing Time............ 37min46sec

Strolling Through Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

I wasn't sure how I would go about doing this in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag. With 50 locations and 75 islands to explore, this proved to be a much harder task.

I decided to just stick with 3 major cities in the game: Havana, Nassau, and Kingston. Along Aveline de Grandré's memories, Freedom Cry and DLC islands, I didn't include the Great Inagua Hideout location, despite it being a major place in the game. The terrain towards the back of the island involves jumping between trees and platforms. It's not a problem with Edward sprinting, but walking makes this impossible.

Sprinting Times
Havana................. 01min48sec
Nassau................. 01min43sec
Kingston............... 03min46sec

Saddling Up in Assassin's Creed III

The latest Assassin's Creed game (Assassin's Creed Syndicate) lets you drift on a horse-drawn carriage in the streets of London, but Assassin's Creed III is the last game in the franchise where your character can ride a horse. This is me saddling up on all main maps in the game: Davenport Homestead, the Frontier, Boston, and New York. I excluded both Benedict Arnold Missions and The Tyranny of King Washington DLCs.

So I sprinted through all the walkable locations in Assassin's Creed 3 (AC3): Davenport Homestead, the Frontier, Boston, and New York. I excluded both Benedict Arnold Missions and The Tyranny of King Washington DLCs.

Interestingly enough, Both AC3 and Assassin's Creed Rogue's New York maps are about the same distance when sprinting through them from south end point to the wall boundary in the north at about 4 minutes.

Sailing Around North Atlantic (Assassin's Creed Rogue)

The North Atlantic is the biggest location in the game. It's mostly water and several islands, inlets, and forts. There are ice sheets and icebergs in the northern part. Circling the whole place took around 22 minutes, 10 minutes more than sailing around the River Valley portion of the game.

Swimming Through River Valley (Assassin's Creed Rogue)

Back on the Hudson Valley again during the Seven Years war. This time, swam from the top right point to the bottom left point of the map at Mount Vernon. When I started swimming, I lost my bearings and kept swimming forward, following the open waters and trying to reach the cursor according to the mini map. I ended up taking a longer route.

The swimming speed was the fastest in water outside of ships. I could have waded through the river the whole time, but that would have been twice as long. There's a link on the video if you want to watch the full length version instead of the time lapse video, if you want a challenge. I don't really recommended it, but it let's you gauge actual speed in the game.
